Operator Please – “Just A Song About Ping Pong”

Mixed in 2007 at Strongroom for the UK single release on Brille Records. This track was great fun to mix for a number of reasons. First, it was one of those mixes where you put the faders up and it already sounds pretty good – always a good start to the day! Second, I always enjoy visiting Strongroom – a great little community of studios and production rooms in the heart of (now trendy) Shoreditch with a great pub/restaurant. The main factor though is the sheer energy and exuberance of the recording – I still enjoy listening to this mix now even though I’ve heard it hundreds of times.
